Metal Sculpture students from the Art Academy of Cincinnati are currently raising funds to support the fabrication of a sculptural bike rack for community to utilize and enjoy. The project comes at an opportune time as the City of Cincinnati has been allocating resources to bolster bike infrastructure in the city, and is an exceptional professional development opportunity for the AAC’s budding metal sculptors.
In order to help raise the $3,500 needed for supplies and fabrication costs, Mad Tree Brewing Company has committed to donating a portion of revenue from their Taproom sales on September 30th, 2014 to the bike rack. We encourage you to come out and drink with us to fundraise from 6pm-9pm on the 30th. If you can’t make it out during that time, feel free to stop by MadTree for a brew anytime from 4pm-10pm during the day.
All funds raised will be automatically doubled thanks to a matching grant provided by Artsworks. More information can be found online at power2give.org or by contacting Director of Student Services Galen Crawford at GCrawford@artacademy.edu
