Students will look and learn about Harper’s artwork being exhibited in the Art Academy’s galleries. Students will then work in a variety of engaging materials to create works inspired by Charley Harper’s style.

In this studio/workshop/laboratory, participants will explore the infinite possibilities of this ubiquitous material (cardboard!). Participants can either respond to challenges issued by the instructor or work on personal projects. This class is devoted to the endless building possibilites with cardboard. Concepts covered include model building, diorama and landscape construction, and paper engineering techniques.
After-School Art for Kids

Fee: $65 per each 6-class session
Student will be introduced to art methods and techniques through hands-on projects. The teacher will also offer instruction and assistance for students art projects. Although the class may consist of multigrade levels, the instructor and assistant will provide materials and instruction with consideration of a child’s age and skill.
