Opening Reception: Friday, September 27, 2024, 5—8pm

The Art Academy of Cincinnati is pleased to present Student Reflections, a Fotofocus Biennial exhibition featuring selected works by AAC students.

About the Exhibition: Student Reflections highlights artwork by current Art Academy of Cincinnati students working with lens-based materials and equipment. The exhibition allows the public to gain insight into the perspective of college art students in the contemporary age, and is the result of a juried open call, available exclusively to AAC’s current students, who were invited to submit works in response to the Fotofocus Biennial’s theme, backstories.

Works to be included in Student Reflections were selected by faculty. In addition, AAC welcomes guest judge Vikesh Kapoor to evaluate the completed exhibition and award 1st, 2nd, and 3rd prizes to exceptional entries. Kapoor’s work is also featured in the Art Academy’s Pearlman Gallery show, Deeply Rooted.

Featured Artists: Kamaire Jones, Joey McElroy, Chloe Meadows, Eva Morris, Ace Quan, Mea Richards, Mar Silvers, Isabella Slone, Aminata Thiam, Harper Thomson, Graziana Wojtylak
